You can find him on LinkedIn as well. This is our recent interview with him, as part of our Kinsta Kingpin series.

Q1: What inspired you to create Kinetise?

Well, we saw a need to automate what we have been doing, meaning developing mobile apps. There were so many potential clients who came and bounced back because of the budget. We knew we needed to find a way to give these people their app for a reasonable price.

Q2: What challenges did you face in building this product?

How much time we’ve got? 😉 Seriously, we encounter obstacles every single day. The project got so complex and so big, that adding each new feature has consequences on other parts of the system. Keeping it consistent is the biggest challenge, I think.

Q3: Did anything surprise you during the process of launching this?

Of course. Initially we found it difficult to explain people what we created. That we have a drag&drop tool, which even a non-coder can use to create a very custom mobile app. And that web browser is all you need. You don’t need to install things like Xcode or Android Studio. Kinetise concept is so different from typical way the apps are built.

Q4: How can WordPress users benefit from Kinetise?

WordPress users can develop their own app and publish an Android version for free. Zero. Nothing. Without a dime. And without knowing how to code Android apps. Awesome, isn’t it?

Q5: Are there any companies using it that readers might be familiar with?

ING Bank for example. Or some US-based WordPress blogs like: www.everythingcountry.com or www.sole.lgbt. Yeah, there are many companies and people using Kinetise to build apps.

Q6: What tips do you have for those looking to create a successful mobile app?

Try what works. Create your MVP first and don’t be shy – give it to people. That’s how you should start and get their feedback.

Q7: You’ve had some great press. What tips do you have for those looking to get coverage?

That part was very difficult. But you need to have a great product and find a good balance between being persistence and patience. It’s walking on a thin line.

Q8: What does the future look like for Kinetise?

We think bright 🙂 Everybody wants to develop apps, but only less than 0.1% of the population can do it. Our time is right now!
