If you just want the numbers a <em>numbers<\/em>, i.e. as normal <code>int<\/code> values, then use the <code>\"%d\"<\/code> conversion operator instead, and have your variables be normal <code>int<\/code> variables, which you then pass to <code>sscanf<\/code> using the address-of operator <code>&amp;<\/code>. As in<\/p>\n<pre><code>int num1;\nint num2;\nint num3;\nint num4;\nsscanf(str, \"B%d,B%d,B%d,B%d\", &amp;num1, &amp;num2, &amp;num3, &amp;num4);\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<hr>\n<p>If you on the other hand <em>want<\/em> the digits as strings, then use <em>array<\/em> instead of pointers:<\/p>\n<pre><code>char num1[2];  \/\/ Two characters is enough for a single-character string, plus terminator\nchar num2[2];\nchar num3[2];\nchar num4[2];\nsscanf(str, \"B%1s,B%1s,B%1s,B%1s\", num1, num2, num3, num4);\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>The format <code>\"%1s\"<\/code> tells <code>sscanf<\/code> to only read a <em>signle<\/em> character.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Besides that, you should probably make sure that the <code>sscanf<\/code> call actually parsed the input correctly.
