Also <code>char *gets(char *str)<\/code> &#8211; you need to pass a buffer to the <code>gets<\/code> where the inputted letters will be stored. You didn&#8217;t pass one. <\/p>\n<p><code>sizeof<\/code> doesn&#8217;t work here. It returns the size of a pointer (<code>char*<\/code>). You will have to use <code>strlen()<\/code> to get the length of the string inputted by <code>gets<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>More importantly &#8211; don&#8217;t use <code>gets<\/code> &#8211; it&#8217;s time to use something much safer than <code>gets<\/code>, namely <code>fgets<\/code> etc. Buffer overflow is not something you want to deal with.<\/p>\n<p>Suppose you are passing an array of <code>char*<\/code> to the function <code>reverse<\/code>. Then the parameter would be <code>char*[]<\/code> which means nothing other than <code>char**<\/code> here. Here you will simply pass the <code>char<\/code> array which you will be using as buffer to <code>gets<\/code>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"mt24\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>            <span class=\"d-none\" itemprop=\"commentCount\">0<\/span> <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[ad_2]<\/p>\n<p>solved C error: Exited with non-zero status <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1] gets returns char*.
