In order to open the contacts screen, you need to capture the OnClick<\/code> event for your button and create an intent to open the contact screen. <\/p>\n

Something like this:<\/p>\n

Button myButton = (Button) myLayout.findViewById(R.id.myButton);\nmyButton..setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() {\n\n        @Override\n        public void onClick(View v) {\n            Intent intent= new Intent(Intent.ACTION_PICK,  Contacts.CONTENT_URI);\n            startActivity(intent);\n        }\n    });\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
If you want to do something with the contact that the user selects, use a startActivityForResult<\/code> instead and overwrite the onActivityResult<\/code> method (read more about that here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
