Reading them prior to assigning a value results in undefined behavior.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>You should free all your allocated memory<\/p>\n<pre><code>for(i=0;i&lt;N;i++)\n{\n    free(A[i]);\n}\nfree(A);\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>and dont cast <code>malloc()<\/code>&#8216;s return value becouse<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Its reduntand<\/li>\n<li>Adding the cast may mask failure to include the header <code>stdlib.h<\/code>, in which the prototype for malloc is found<\/li>\n<li>If the type of the pointer is changed, one must fix all code lines where <code>malloc()<\/code> was called and cast<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p>Next time if you cannot find a <code>bug<\/code>, try to use debugger and look what exactly is happening, you can see variable values, where would you clearly see that <code>M<\/code> is uninitialized and didnt change after <code>scanf()<\/code>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"mt24\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>            <span class=\"d-none\" itemprop=\"commentCount\"><\/span> <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[ad_2]<\/p>\n<p>solved How to dynamically allocate memory in 2D array and store values?
