The &<\/code> operator can be applied to objects in order to retrieve their address in memory, yielding a pointer, in both C and C++. It ain’t got nothing to do with references. Even in C++.<\/p>\n

In C++, you can use the ampersand character (&<\/code>) to define a reference<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

This is not possible in C, though.<\/p>\n

BTW, printf<\/code> uses specific format specifiers for specific types. %d<\/code> is for int<\/code>s. For pointers (like &i<\/code>), use %p<\/code>. Wrong usage of the wrong format specifier is undefined behavior.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
