First your URL is not correct. Instead of <\/p>\n

user_id=id\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
in your URL you have to use a actual value for id (id is just placeholder in your case). For example:<\/p>\n
user_id=82193320\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
which would give you the data for my twitter user (uwe_guenther) back. <\/p>\n
You can easily lookup twitter ids here: <\/p>\n

If you just want to lookup user data by screen name you could use:<\/p>\n
screen_name=uwe_guenther\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
instead.<\/p>\n
