If you want to create an HTML file you need to write some HTML content into the file. It would be more nice if you name the output file with the .html<\/strong> suffix.<\/p>\n

So after you get the file name from that JTextField<\/code>, you should add a .html<\/strong> suffix to it’s name and then use that to create the File.<\/p>\n

After that have to write some html tags as Strings using that BufferedWriter bw<\/code> into the destination file. It creates it (if it does not exist) and writes the html tags into it:<\/p>\n

String html = \"<html> <head><\/head> <body><\/body> <\/html>\";\nbw.write(html);\nbw.flush();\nbw.close();\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
So you can add the above code under the following line:<\/p>\n
BufferedWriter bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter(file));\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
and inside the try-catch<\/code> block.<\/p>\n
Also typically you should close the streams in the finally<\/code> block, so you should add a finally<\/code> block under the catch<\/code> block and close bw<\/code> inside it. Also the bw.close()<\/code> may throw<\/code> a checked exception and you need to put a try-catch<\/code> inside the finally<\/code> block. Another good try is to use try with resource<\/code> if you are using java 7 or above.<\/p>\n
