Reasons & Solutions for this Problem
As I mentioned earlier the reasons for this problem is maybe incorrect UAN or incorrect member ID or previous PF account details which don’t have an exit date.
1. Incorrect UAN
When you enter an incorrect UAN number then you will definitely find this error that “no previous employment details found against this UAN”. So when you get this error then immediately check whether you have entered correct UAN number or not.
Solution:
Just enter your correct UAN number and try again.
2. Incorrect PF Member ID
Along with UAN number employees also have an option to enter PF account number ( PF member ID / MID) for PF transfer. If you enter incorrect PF member ID then also you will get this error.
Solution:
Step 1:- Use Get MID option to find your correct PF account number. To do that click on Get MID option in PF transfer page at UAN member portal.
Step 2:- Now select the state, PF office and enter your company PF establishment code, extension number, and your PF account number. If you don’t know all these then you can easily find them on your PF passbook. After entering all the details click on Get MID, then UAN portal will automatically take your PF account number and next time you will not get this error.
3. EPF Accounts with No Date of Exit
This is the most possible reason for this error. If your previous employer didn’t mention the date of exit for your previous PF account number then you cannot able to transfer your PF amount from that account. In this case, you will get this message “details against member id does not exist“. Until the employer exits the employee till then EPF account numbers will be in the active stage.
Solution:
To solve this issue contact your previous employer and ask them to mention your EPF date of exit & EPF date of exit, remember only your employer can update your date of exit in their employer PF portal. Once the mention your exit date then you can transfer your PF amount online.
4. From Exempted Establishments to Non-Exempted Establishments & Vice Versa
When you are trying to transfer your PF amount from exempted PF establishments/trusts to non exempted establishments (or) from non exempted establishments to exempted establishments then also you may face this problem.
Solution:
Contact your employer and ask them to update trust details for your member ID and date of exit then you can transfer your PF amount without any further error.

No Previous Employment Details Found Against This UAN in PF Transfer
