Pensioners who are getting pension under pension scheme 1995, can submit their life certificate at any time in a year. Earlier they used to submit it in the month of November before 30th, but now EPFO has changed that rule.
But this facility is available only for pensioners who have worked in private sector employees. For central govt and state govt employees, they have to submit it in a usual manner like November of every year.
Life certificate has One-year validity, for example if a pensioner submits a life certificate on 15th March 2020 then he has to resubmit it on 15th March 2021.
If the pensioner fails to submit a life certificate before the due date then the payment of pension will be stopped.
EPF pensioners can get their life certificate online at the Jeevan Pramaan portal and they can submit at EPF offices or pension disbursing banks or CSCs (Common Service Centres) or in Umang app.
But in order to update Jeevan Pramaan in Umang app the pensioners any of the following biometric devices

- Startek FM220U
- Tatvik TMF20
