How to Change Name in UAN After Aadhaar Verification

If your aadhar number is already linked to your UAN then you cannot able to modify details like your name, date of birth, and father name in EPF account online. In that case when you click on the basic details option in the UAN member portal then you will get this error Aadhaar is already verified. Your details aren’t editable.

Generally, employees face this problem when they change any details in their aadhar card or for women employees when they want to change their surname after marriage.

If your aadhar is already verified then you can’t change your name online but you can correct it by submitting a form called PF joint declaration to your regional EPF office.

Process to change name in UAN after aadhaar verification

Step 1: Download PF joint declaration form.

Step 2: Write the date on which you are going to submit this form to your PF office. After writing date write your UAN number just below the date.

Now write the address of your PF office, your name and your company name.

Step 3: Now in the table write your correct details and mention the wrong details which you want to correct. Suppose if you want to correct your name then write the wrongly mentioned name in the PF account in the wrong column.

Step 4: Now write your name and sign the form, and also write the name of the authorized person for PF in your company and take his signature with office seal.

Step 5: Along with this PF joint declaration form enclose a copy of your Aadhaar card or date of birth proof or PAN as per the requirement. (for name correction you need submit Aadhaar only)

Step 6: Submit this form to your regional PF office, then with in 30 days your name will be corrected in PF. You can check it in UAN member portal profile section.
